Short hair needs just as much care and affection as long hair and without the right care, it can become rather dry and brittle and if the wrong products are used, it can also become rather greasy.

If you have colored short hair then it is a good idea to use a shampoo and conditioner that is specifically designed to protect the color. This not only keeps the color strong and vibrant but also helps to rehydrate the hair as constant coloring and styling can quickly dry it out. It is also a good idea to buy a better brand of shampoo and conditioner every once in a while as a special treat as the cheaper brands can sometimes mean lesser quality.
As well as making sure that you are using the right kind of shampoo and conditioner for your hair, it is also a good idea to invest in hot oil treatments or hair masks every now and again as a real treat. You can make these things at home for a more natural and also cheaper alternative but they can be purchased for fairly cheap and can help to put the nutrients back into the hair as well as making sure that is well looked after.
