Hair Dying Mistakes, Avoid Them!

If you are a regular of dying your hair then you may already know certain things that you need to do in order to keep away from the most common hair dying mistakes. However, if you are dying your hair for the very first time at home or are just beginning, then you need to know a few things to make sure that you do not end up with a hair disaster.

Hair Dying Tips Summer 2009

First of all it is important that you get the right color for your hair. If you have black hair then you cannot simply pick up a box of blonde dye and expect it to work but if it is the other way around then you will usually find that you have no problems. This will need to be worked out in advance. As well as this however, you need to make sure that you get enough dye for your hair length. Short hair will usually be covered by one box of hair dye but hair that is considerably longer will need two or more boxes. You should also make sure that you buy the right colors for all boxes. This is a very silly but very common mistake to make!
As well as ensuring that you have the right amount of dye and the right color, you must also ensure that you have some Vaseline to hand so that you can place it around your hair line and on the ears to make sure that you do not cover your face with dye at the same time as your hair. This combined with some good gloves, a comb and a grip and you will find that dying your hair at home will be a breeze!
