SPIRAL PERM HAIRSTYLES 2010

Spiral perms are making a huge comeback and look better than what they were in the 1980’s, when big frizzy hair was the big thing. Badly done spiral perms make you look like a shocked poodle, but if done right, you can have a style that is beautiful, sexy, and fun.

Spiral perms are called “spiral” because your hair is curled around a long, slender roller vertically, all the way to your scalp, and the curl is done in a corkscrew. This is different from the traditional perm where your hair is rolled in small rollers and horizontally. You can change how tight your curls are simply by using a small or large roller. Bigger rollers mean bigger curls. When you get a spiral perm, don’t worry. You don’t have to wear only one style. A diffuser on the end of your blow dryer will help you blow dry your hair straight and leave it looking thicker and full of body. Your curls will return when you wash your hair again. Use the diffuser longer to get waves and some gel to scrunch your hair for an easy, sexy ringlet look.

TRENDY SPIRAL PERM 2010

Don’t get a spiral perm if your hair is in bad shape, or you’ll look ridiculous because your hair will just frizz. It’s not a good idea to give yourself a spiral perm because it’s easy to frizz, so go to a pro but keep in mind they are more expensive. Spirals can be twice as much as a regular perm because longer hair works better and they’re more work; but isn’t it worth it? After the perm, use lots of conditioning products and avoid alcohol-based products.
